Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates are given an upper age limit relaxation of 5 years, while candidates with disabilities (PWD) are granted relaxation of 10 to 15 years based on the category of the post.

Selection Process

The selection for these positions involves a two-step process:

  1. Screening Test
    Candidates must first pass the screening test, which includes different sections depending on the post applied for:
    • Inspector of Excise: General English, General Knowledge & Aptitude, and Arithmetic (Class X level) with a total of 300 marks.
    • Primary Investigator: General English, General Knowledge & Aptitude, and Economics/Mathematics/Statistics, each section carrying 100 marks.
    • Field Assistant: General English, General Knowledge, and Mathematics (Class X level), also totaling 300 marks.
  2. Personal Interview
    After passing the screening test, candidates will undergo a personal interview, which is the final step for selection.

Application Fee Details

  • Inspector of Excise: ₹350
  • Primary Investigator/Computor and Field Assistant: ₹320
    • Concessions: SC/ST candidates who are permanent residents of Meghalaya get a 50% fee concession. PWD candidates are exempt from the fee upon submitting a valid disability certificate.

Payment Methods: The fee can be paid through online modes or via e-Challan at SBI branches.
