Xiaomi has confirmed that the upcoming Redmi Turbo 4 will be the first device to feature the new MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra SoC. Recently, the smartphone made its way into Geekbench’s benchmark listings, revealing its model number as 24129RT7CC.
While the specifications of the Dimensity 8400-Ultra remain unchanged from its predecessor, the Dimensity 8400, it still boasts an impressive set of features. This octa-core chipset is equipped with a combination of Arm Cortex-A725 cores, including 1x Arm Cortex-A725 running at 3.25GHz, 3x Arm Cortex-A725 clocked at 3.0GHz, and a 1.3GHz Arm Mali-G720 MC6 GPU.
The Geekbench results show strong performance, with a single-core score of 1642 and a multi-core score of 6056. These scores are significantly higher than those of the Redmi K70E, which uses the Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipset, achieving 1,242 points in single-core and 4,194 points in multi-core benchmarks.
The listing also reveals that the Redmi Turbo 4 will come with a substantial 16GB of RAM and run Android 15 out of the box. It is expected to feature Xiaomi’s custom HyperOS 2. Additionally, the phone has already received 3C certification in China, which confirms support for fast 90W charging.
The Redmi Turbo 4 is expected to make its debut in China in early January 2025. It will later be introduced to global markets under the name POCO X7 Pro. Alongside the phone, Xiaomi will also unveil the Redmibook 16 2025 during the same event.
